Why should I not use “*” as IP address in the vistrax Config?
Using “*” when binding the IP address in the Vistarax configuration can cause problems, particularly if the system has an antivirus or endpoint security solution that cannot process the placeholder correctly. This is because “*” does not fully comply with the IP address standard.
If possible, use the IP address that the service should be accessible on externally. Alternatively, use the IP address 0.0.0.0, which conforms to the standard and binds the service to all the operating system's available network addresses without causing compatibility problems with security software.
